Anime News Network's coverage of New York Comic-Con 2018 is sponsored by Good Smile Company's Grand Summoners.

Dark Horse Comics announced at New York Comic Con on Saturday that it will release Gou Tanabe's H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains Of Madness (Kūki no Sanmyaku ni te) manga.

Dark Horse will release the manga in two double-sized volumes featuring more than 300 pages each. Each volume will retail for US$19.99. The English release will retain the metallic gold motif for the cover and the silver tip-in sheets. The first volume will launch in the direct market on June 12, 2019. Zack Davisson is returning from Dark Horse's release of the H.P. Lovecraft's The Hound and Other Stories manga to translate H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains Of Madness.

H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains Of Madness was nominated for the 22nd Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in February. Kadokawa published the four-volume manga between October 2016 and December 2017.

The manga is an adaptation of the famous H.P. Lovecraft science-fiction horror novella published in 1936. Dr. William Dyer is part of an Antarctic expedition that unearths strange artifacts and a city older than time that hints at origins from beyond the stars. When the expedition runs into mortal danger, they begin to realize they have awakened an ancient entity.

Dark Horse released Tanabe's H.P. Lovecraft's The Hound and Other Stories manga in one volume in August 2017.
