The official website for the television anime of Nanatsu Mukunoki's Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! (An Angel Flew Down to Me!) manga began streaming the first promotional video for the anime on Wednesday. The video reveals more cast members and the opening theme song.
The newly announced cast members are:
Naomi Ōzora as Kanon Konomori, a girl who is kind to everyone and is usually smiling. A class representative of class 5-3.
Maria Sashide, Rika Nagae, Akari Kitō, Hitomi Ohwada, and Naomi Ōzora are performing the opening theme song "Kimama na Tenshi-tachi" (Carefree Angels) as the group Wataten☆5.
The cast also includes:
Maria Sashide as Hana Shirosaki
Rika Nagae as Hinata Hoshino
Akari Kitō as Noa Himesaka
The four-panel comedy manga's story centers on Miyako Hoshino, a shy college student and otaku. Miyako's younger sister Hinata, who is a fifth grader, has a classmate and friend named Hana. When they meet, Miyako falls for Hana at first sight.
The anime is reuniting staff members who worked together on the New Game! anime. Daisuke Hiramaki (episode director for Yuruyuri San Hai!, Shirobako, New Game!!) is directing the series at Doga Kobo (Tada Never Falls in Love, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun). Hiromi Nakagawa (chief animation director for Himouto! Umaru-chan, Rewrite) is designing the characters, and Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, My Sweet Tyrant) is in charge of series composition.
The series will premiere in January. Tokyo's Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku is hosting a "Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!" (An Angel Flew Down to Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku!) advance screening event of the first episode with a talk show segment featuring Ueda, Sashide, Nagae, and Kitō on December 30.
Mukunoki launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine in 2016, and the publisher released the third compiled book volume on June 15. The fourth volume will ship on November 15.
