The official website for Studio Pierrot's television anime adaptation of Chinese manga creator Dainenbyō's Gunjō no Magmell (Magmell of the Sea Blue) manga revealed on Thursday that the anime will premiere in April 2019.

The official YouTube channel for Weekly Shonen Jump is also streaming a comment video featuring voice actor Kengo Kawanishi and voice actress M.A.O, who star in the show.

The anime will star:

Kengo Kawanishi as Inyō, a young man who provides relief to adventurers

M.A.O as Zero, Inyō's assistant

Hibiku Yamamura as Emilia, who commissions Inyō

Toshiyuki Morikawa as Shūin, Inyō's master

Hayato Date (Naruto, Naruto Shippūden, Saiyuki) is directing the series at studio Pierrot. Chūji Mikasano (Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, Tokyo Ghoul:re) is in charge of scenario organization. Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail, Naruto Shippūden, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) is composing the music.

The fantasy series takes place in a world where a new continent named Magmell suddenly appears in the ocean, and a new age of exploration begins. Explorers venture to the island to find previously unknown lifeforms and resources, but experience one disaster after another. The manga follows the mysterious young men who make a living as relief workers who aid the explorers.

Dainenbyō launched the manga on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app in June 2015, and Shueisha published the 74th chapter on November 13. Shueisha published the manga's fourth volume in print in July 2017.
