Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection THE COMICS Manga Ends in December

Companion manga to Magical Lyrical Nanoha Reflection film launched in December 2017

The January issue of Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine revealed on Monday that Takuya Fujima and Masaki Tsuzuki's Mahō Shōjo Lyrical Nanoha Reflection THE COMICS (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection THE COMICS) manga will end in the magazine's next issue on December 26.

The new manga's title mirrors the recent Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection film, and features an original side story. The manga's "THE COMICS" subtitle is shared with a number of manga in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise, including Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's THE COMICS, Mahō Shōjo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS The Comics, and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Movie 1st The Comics, all of which supplemented their namesake material.

Fujima and Tsuzuki launched the manga in Comp Ace in December 2017 after the pair finished their Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid manga. Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume on June 25.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection, the first film in a two-film project for the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise, opened in Japan in July 2017. The film sold about 100,000 tickets to earn 165,140,000 yen (about US$1.47 million) in its first two weeks. Eleven Arts screened the film in U.S. theaters on February 9 in Japanese with English subtitles, and also screened the film in Canada on March 2.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation, the second film, opened in Japan on October 19 and ranked at #6 in its opening weekend. The film has sold more than 110,000 tickets and earned 168,150,000 yen (about US$1.50 million) at the box office in Japan as of October 28.
