Project with music video, documentary began development 2 years ago

Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski announced at Tokyo Comic Con on Saturday that Marvel and the Japanese band SEKAI NO OWARI are collaborating on an original End of the World comic. Cebulski said the two began developing the project two years ago, and SEKAI NO OWARI band member DJ Love appeared at the event for the announcement.

The project includes the original comic, a music video, and a ReIMAGINE documentary about the process of making the video. The video will begin streaming on the SEKAI NO OWARI YouTube channel on December 11.

Cebulski said he has been a fan of SEKAI NO OWARI since before the project, and added that DJ Love has been a fan who is very knowledgeable about Marvel Comics. Cebulski also noted that Marvel has only collaborated with music artists on original comics only a few times before, notably with KISS and The Flaming Lips.

Greg Pak took the original concept and wrote the script, and Takeshi Miyazawa drew the art with coloring by Ian Herring.
