PlayStation Awards 2018 Winners Announced

Monster Hunter: World wins Quadruple Platinum Prize for selling 4 million units in Asia

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia (SCEJA) hosted and live-streamed the PlayStation Awards 2018 in Japan on Monday. The annual award ceremony has been held since 1995.

The winners are as follows: (all winners are for PlayStation 4 only unless otherwise stated)

Quadruple Platinum Prize

This prize was awarded to games that have shipped more than 4 million units (including downloads) in Asia.
  • Monster Hunter: World

Platinum Prize

This prize was awarded to games that have shipped more than 1 million units (including downloads) in Asia.

Gold Prize

This prize was awarded to games that have shipped more than 500,000 units (including downloads) in Asia.
  • Super Robot Wars V (PS4/Vita)
  • Winning Eleven 2018
  • Gran Turismo Sport
  • Call of Duty WWII
  • God of War
  • Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū 2018 (PS4/Vita)
  • Marvel's Spider-Man

PlayStation Network Award

The top three best-selling games on the PlayStation Network released between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018.
  • FIFA 18
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Fortnite

PlayStation VR Award

Three games that have contributed to sales of the PlayStation VR, released between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018 (excludes last year's winning titles).
  • No Heroes Allowed! VR
  • Gran Turismo Sport
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR

Indie Games & Game Developers Award

Three games that have contributed to the expansion of PlayStation's indie or digital-exclusive catalog, released between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018 (excludes last year's winning titles).
  • Ultimate Chicken Horse
  • ABZÛ
  • Dead Cells

User's Choice Award

This prize was awarded to games based on votes from users in Asia. To be eligible, a game must have debuted between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018.
