Marvelous Europe announced on Tuesday that it will release the Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal in Europe and Australia on January 18 for the PlayStation 4, and on January 22 on the PC via Steam. XSEED Games will also release the game in North America on the PS4 and PC on January 22.

Those who pre-order the game will get a PS4 theme and a "Beautiful Something Yukata Outfit" download. (Both will be available for sale after several weeks.) Two DLC costumes will be available for free during the first four weeks of launch, after which time they will be for sale.

Marvelous Europe also revealed that the game will get a digital "Shinobi Rivals Edition" release, and a physical "Bountiful Beauties Edition" release. The "Shinobi Rivals Edition" release includes the "Burst Girls Uniform," "Old Hanzo Uniform," "'Lovey Dovey' Diorama Pose," the "Yumi Character & Prologue Pack" premium DLC, as well as a digital soundtrack. The "Bountiful Beauties Edition" release includes the above DLC, but adds an art book, keychains, and a two-disc soundtrack.

XSEED Games' North American release will also have separate "Tailor-Made" and "At the Seams" releases. The "Tailor Made" release includes the same DLC of the European editions, with the addition of the two-disc soundtrack. The "At the Seams" release will include the above, but will include rubber character straps.

Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games are streaming two new trailers for the game.

Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal is Honey∞Parade Games' PS4 remake of the 2012 Senran Kagura Burst action game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game shipped in Japan on February 22.

The game remakes the original side-scrolling game as a full 3D game with updated graphics and gameplay features. Yumi and Miyabi will be free DLC characters, each with their own DLC side stories. The story from the original game appears in the remake with additional story elements.

XSEED Games originally planned to release the game this fall in North America and Europe, but delayed its release of the game remove the interactive "Intimacy Mode" from the game's PlayStation 4 version. The Steam version will still include the mode.
