The YouTube channel for the Twin Angel franchise began streaming the first promotional video on Sunday for the "Next Project" in the franchise. The video gives no details as to what the project will be, but previews characters in different costumes. The staff first revealed the new project at the Twin Angel booth at the Universal Carnival Sammy Festival 2018 event, which was held on November 25. The text in the below video at 1:05 reads "So much fun, so much fun, the party is starting."

The latest anime in the franchise, Twin Angels BREAK, debuted in Japan in April 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode series as it aired. The anime tells the story of new angels Meguri Amatsuki (Angel Rose) and Sumire Kisaragi (Angel Sapphire).

The franchise began with the first Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel pachislo (slot machine for pachinko parlors) game in 2006. The franchise then spawned a two-part original video anime (OVA) in 2008, followed by a television anime in 2011. A second original video anime project, Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!, shipped in January 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime series under the title Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise.

In addition to the line of pachislo games and the PSP adventure game in 2011, the franchise also inspired a PC visual novel in 2009. A new smartphone game titled Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel ~Soshite Shinwa no Otome-tachi~ launched in Japan in 2017.
