2019 Super Sentai TV Series Revealed as Kishiryū Sentai Ryūsoulger

Toei announced on Wednesday that Kishiryū Sentai Ryūsoulger will be the 43rd work in the live-action Super Sentai series since 1975, and it will premiere on TV Asahi on March 17 at 9:30 a.m. The show's themes are "dinosaurs" and "knights." The series will be fourth in the franchise's dinosaur series after Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger (used by Saban to create Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) in 1992, Bakuryū Sentai Abaranger in 2003, and Zyūden Sentai Kyōryūger in 2013.
The series' story centers on the evil Droidon clan, who once reigned over the Earth, and the Ryūsō clan, who worked together with dinosaur companions known as Kishiryū to oppose the Droidons. The Droidon clan escaped to space when a meteorite approached the planet 65 million years ago, but the Ryūsō clan stayed behind. Time passed, and the Droidons have reached the height of their power and returned to Earth. Ryūsoulger, the chosen knights of the Ryūsō that protected Earth since ancient times, must now face the Droidon clan.
The show will feature a team of five Ryūsoulger who wield the power of their Kishiryū companions. The kanji characters for the word "Ryūsoulger" mean "knights who fight while wearing the power of dinosaurs."
Junpei Yamaoka (live-action Peach Girl, Impossibility Defense films) is in charge of the script. Kazuya Kamihoriuchi (Kamen Rider Ghost RE:BIRTH: Kamen Rider Specter, Kamen Sentai Gorider) is serving as director. Kiyoshi Yoshikawa is composing the music. Hirofumi Fukuzawa is the action director, and Hiroshi Butsuda is the special effects director.
Toei's Super Sentai series will also get a four-episode special titled Super Sentai Saikyō Battle!! (Super Sentai Strongest Battle) beginning on February 17 on TV Asahi. The special will be a crossover featuring a team of five characters from earlier Super Sentai series, though other characters may appear.
The latest Super Sentai television series, Kaitō Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger (Phantom Thief Sentai Lupinranger VS Police Sentai Patranger), premiered on February 11. The show is the 42nd in the live-action Super Sentai series since 1975, and it is the franchise's first television series to feature two rival sentai teams from the start. The movie Kaitō Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger en film premiered on August 4.
