Atlus Teases 'P5R' Project With PlayStation Logo

Atlus began streaming a video on Monday for a new Persona 5 project currently labeled "P5R." The video begins with the PlayStation logo, followed by Joker (the game's protagonist) saying, "Good day, this is Joker. As the year ends, the voices calling out for our next move continue to grow louder. But the curtain closes on this year. March 2019. We look forward to seeing you all. Wait until then. Have a good year."
The video leads to a new website at the "www.p5r.jp" URL, which currently only has the above video embedded. Game business marketing solutions firm Ryu's Office, which has handled marketing for the Persona series and other Atlus games, registered the domain in April 2017, along with other domains seemingly related to the Persona franchise.
Atlus released the Persona 5 game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in September 2016, and released it worldwide in April 2017. The 26-episode Persona 5 television anime premiered on April 7 and aired through September. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu as it aired. The first special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun, aired on December 30 at 24:00 (effectively December 31 at 12:00 a.m.) on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11. A second television special titled PERSONA 5 the Animation: Stars and Ours will air in March.
