The staff for the live-action film of TOBI's Omaera Zenin Mendokusai! (You're All Such a Bother!) school romantic comedy manga revealed the film's February 23 opening as well as six stills from the film on Sunday.
Kensho Ono (left in image above) stars in the film as protagonist Kunihiko Kunitachi. The role is the voice actor's first lead role in a live-action film. Arisa Komiya (upper left at right portion of image above), the voice of the character Dia Kurosawa in the Love Live! Sunshine!! franchise, is playing Kazumi Kazumiya. Himika Akaneya (upper right at right portion), a member of the i☆Ris voice actress and idol group, will play Eiko Enomoto. Yūno Ōhara (lower left at right portion), a former member of the Dream5 music group, will play Riho Kurihara. Gravure model Sayaka Tomaru (lower right at right portion) will play Shiori Enomoto.
Tadaaki Hōrai is directing the film. The band Bentham will perform the film's theme song "memento."
The manga tells the story of Kunihiko Kunitachi (bottom center in image above), a Japanese language high school teacher who is always scolding his student Kazumi Kazumiya (top center). Kazumi keeps asking him to be her friend, and going to the teacher's office to play games. Then there is the "troublesome bitch" Riho Kurihara (bottom left), the tsundere student council president Eiko Enomoto (top left), Shiori (bottom right) who gives sudden kisses out of the blue, and the fellow teacher Koyuki (top right), Kunihiko's "oasis" in the middle of the chaos.
The manga launched on Comic Meteor in 2014. Holp Shuppan published the eighth volume on May 2, and will ship the ninth volume on February 8.
Yahoo! Comics' Flex Comix Blood web anthology published TOBI's Megane na Kanojo romantic comedy manga from 2007 to 2008. SoftBank Creative published the one compiled volume of the manga in 2008. The manga inspired a four-episode original video anime (OVA) series in 2010.
