Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!, Seven Deadly Sins Films Stream on Netflix

The Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! and The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky anime films are now streaming on Netflix in the United States.

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! is available with audio in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian, but not Japanese. The Pokémon Company describes the film's story:

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! is an origin story highlighting Ash and Pikachu's first meeting and their adventures as they search for the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh. The iconic pair encounter familiar faces along the way, new characters including Trainers Verity and Sorrel, and even a mysterious new Mythical Pokémon, Marshadow. Challenges and epic Pokémon battles abound in this unique new story about the beginning of one of the most beloved friendships in popular culture.

The film had its world premiere at the Japan Expo 2017 event in Paris on July 6. The movie then opened in Japan on July 15 and earned 516 million yen (about US$4.61 million) in its first two days to rank at #1 at the box office. Fathom Events screened the film in collaboration with The Pokémon Company International in the United States, United Kingdom, and other international markets outside of Asia in November 2017.

The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky is available with audio in English, Japanese, German, Spanish, and French, and subtitles in English, Japanese, Spanish, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

The film features a completely new story by original manga creator Nakaba Suzuki. In the story, [Highlight white text to read spoilers for the end of the first anime season] a little time has passed since The Seven Deadly Sins and Princess Elizabeth brought peace to the kingdom. To celebrate the king's birthday, The Seven Deadly Sins travel to a remote land in search of the phantom ingredient "sky fish." Meliodas and Hawk end up at a "Sky Palace" that exists above the clouds, where all the residents have wings. Meliodas is mistaken for a boy who committed a crime and is thrown in prison. Meanwhile, the residents are preparing a ceremony for defense against a ferocious beast that awakens once every 3,000 years. But the Six Knights of Black, a Demon Clan army, arrives and removes the seal on the beast in order to threaten the lives of the residents of Sky Palace. Meliodas and his allies meet the Six Knights of Black in battle.

The film opened in Japan on August 18.
