Aimer's Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel II Song Tops Weekly Chart

Yonezu's "Lemon" certified double platinum with over 500,000 shipped

Singer Aimer's "I beg you/Hanabira-tachi no March/Sailing" single sold about 31,000 copies in its first week to rank #1 in Oricon's weekly single chart. It is Aimer's first release among her singles and albums to rank #1 since she debuted in September 2011. Aimer is also the first solo female artist in five years to rank #1 in the weekly single chart since Misaki Iwasa ranked in January 2014 with her "Tomo no Ura Bojō" single.

The single's "I beg you" song is the theme song for the Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel II. lost butterfly anime film, which opened in Japan last Saturday. Yuki Kajiura composed the song.

In addition, Billboard Japan revealed on Tuesday that Kenshi Yonezu's "Lemon" single has shipped more than 500,000 copies, and has thus been certified as double platinum in Japan. The song has also been downloaded 2 million times. Yonezu performed the theme song for the Fireworks, Should We See it from the Side or the Bottom? film alongside DAOKO, and also performed the first opening theme song for the second season of the My Hero Academia anime.

Update: Oricon reported on Tuesday that the precise number Aimer's new single sold was 30,737.
