TV Tokyo revealed on February 2 that it is producing a television series adaptation of Tōji Tsukishima's Iyasaretai Otoko (The Man Who Wants to be Healed) manga. The series will premiere on TV Tokyo in April and on BS TV Tokyo in July. The show will also stream on Paravi. Kôsuke Suzuki (seen below) stars in the series as protagonist Hiro Akiyama. Tsukuru Matsuki, Takashi Ninomiya, and Junya Funatani are directing the series, with scripts by Masahiro Moto, Shinichi Tanaka, and Eiichi Davis Mizoi.
The manga centers on Hiro Akiyama, an office worker in a mid-size company, who is stressed out every day at work. He relaxes by people watching in the city and having sometimes lewd fantasies about the women he sees.
The manga ran in Nihon Bungeisha's Manga Goraku magazine from 2015 to 2017. Nihon Bungeisha published the manga's one compiled book volume in January 2018.
