Manga follows useless public morals committeeman, high school girl with the inappropriate skirt length

This year's April issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine announced on Tuesday that Takuma Yokota will launch a new series in the next issue on March 26. The manga is titled Ponkotsu Fūkiin to Skirt Take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi (Story of the Useless Public Morals Committeeman and the High School Girl With Inappropriate Skirt Length).

Yokota posted a picture from the new manga on Twitter on Tuesday:

The advertisement shows a boy from the public morals committee who seems smart but is actually useless, and a girl who seems like a problem child but is actually very capable.

Yokota launched the 10-volume Straighten Up! Welcome to Shika High's Competitive Dance Club (Sesuji wo Pin! to - Shikakō Kyōgi Dance-bu e Yōkoso) ballroom dancing manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2015, and ended the series in February 2017. Viz Media's digital version of Weekly Shonen Jump previewed the first three chapters in English.

Yokota then launched the Shudan! soccer manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in June 2017, and ended the four-volume series in January. Viz Media also published the first three chapters in English.

Yokota launched the ongoing Dangerous 1969 manga with author Kyōsuke Cagami in Kodansha's Young Magazine the 3rd in March 2018, and also launched the Subete no Jinrui o Hakai suru. Sorera wa Saisei Dekinai. (Destroy all humankind. They can't be regenerated.) manga with writer Katsura Ise in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine last November.
