Anime about Kabakura, Hanako's high school days ships with 7th manga volume on March 29

Ichijinsha began streaming a trailer on Friday for the anime episode that will ship on Blu-ray Disc with the limited edition version of the seventh volume of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga.

The new anime will center on Kabakura and Hanako's high school days and will be about 20 minutes long. The volume will ship on March 29.

The manga's story centers on the awkward romantic comedy between Narumi, a female office worker who hides her fujoshi lifestyle, and Hirotaka, a handsome and capable company man who is secretly a game otaku.

Fujita launched the manga on the image sharing website pixiv in 2014. In November 2015, the manga moved to Ichijinsha's Comic POOL digital manga magazine. The manga's sixth volume shipped on July 31. Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga in English, and released the third omnibus volume on November 20.

The manga inspired an 11-episode television anime adaptation that premiered in April 2018. The anime streamed on Amazon Prime Video inside and outside of Japan. The manga is inspiring a live-action film that will open in 2020 after a delay.
