Crunchyroll Adds Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it has added Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu and Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki to its spring simulcast lineup. Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu will premiere on Friday at 3:15 a.m. EDT, and Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki will premiere on Monday. Both series will be available worldwide outside Asia.

Hitori Bocchi, a girl with extreme social anxiety, has had only one friend throughout elementary school. When Bocchi learns they'll be split up after graduation, she makes a promise to her: "By the time of my middle school graduation, I'll make friends with everyone in my class." And if she can't do it... they won't be friends anymore?! But Bocchi has a hard time talking to people. When she gets nervous, her legs cramp. She can't look other people in the eye. She doesn't even know how to make friends! Every way she thinks of to make friends ends up failing. Will Bocchi's friend-making plan pay off?! It's a story of the persistence of the lonely girl, Bocchi!
The anime will premiere on April 5 at 26:25 (effectively, April 6 at 2:25 a.m.) on MBS and TBS, on BS-TBS on April 6, and on AT-X on April 7.
Takebumi Anzai (Go! Go! 575 director, episode director for Darker than Black and Mob Psycho 100) is directing the anime at studio C2C (Harukana Receive, WorldEnd). Jukki Hanada (Beyond the Boundary, Sound Euphonium, Steins;Gate) is both overseeing and writing the series scripts, and Kii Tanaka (Donten ni Warau Gaiden: Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai, Cheating Craft) is both the character designer and chief animation director. Ryuuichi Takada and Hidekazu Tanaka of monaca are composing the music, and Shigeru Saitō of Heart Company is producing the music at Kadokawa.

After growing up in Tokyo, high school student Jin Kaito moves to Nagoya where he meets Yatogame Monaka, a fellow student who puts her Nagoya dialect on full display. With her cat-like appearance and unvarnished Nagoya dialect, Yatogame won't open up to him at all. This popular local comedy is increasing the status of Nagoya through observation of the adorable Yatogame-chan!
The series premiered on Thursday at 7:53 p.m. on TV Aichi, and will air a few days later on Tokyo MX and AT-X. The series is also streaming in Japan on d Anime Store (Docomo Anime Store), Niconico, Fuji on Demand, U-NEXT, Anitere, and Hikari TV.
Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Miss Bernard said., Netsuzou Trap -NTR-, Jingai-san no Yome) is the chief director for the anime at Saetta, with Creators in Pack and LEVELS credited for animation production cooperation. Satsuki Hayasaka (Hinako Note, High School DxD Hero episode animation director) is designing the characters and WORDS in STEREO is credited for the series composition.
