The official Twitter account for Level-5's Inazuma Eleven series announced on Thursday that Disney XD will premiere the Inazuma Eleven Ares anime on April 13 at 8:30 a.m EDT. The show will air weekly on Saturdays.
Disney XD began streaming an English trailer for the anime on Friday.
The Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin anime premiered in Japan on April 6, 2018 with a one-hour special and aired for 26 episodes.
In the story, the soccer club of Asuto Inamori (Sonny Wright in English) is disbanded after the school's soccer field is destroyed. He and friends go to Tokyo to attend Raimon-chū (Raimon Junior High) to play soccer. The story is set after the first Inazuma Eleven anime and game. However, the show takes place in a parallel world from all other Inazuma Eleven soccer role-playing games, except for the first one.
The anime's accompanying game will launch for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in 2019. The game was originally slated for summer 2018, but was delayed to this fall, then again to this winter before this most recent delay to a general 2019 release date.
