Game launched for PS4 in English in August

Sega of America announced on Thursday that its Yakuza Kiwami 2 game will launch for PC via Steam on May 9. The company also began streaming a new trailer for the announcement.

The pre-order bonus for the PC version is the Clan Creator Bundle DLC with rare leader cards, exclusive weapons, exclusive outfits, and bonus items.

Sega released Yakuza Kiwami 2, a full remake of Yakuza 2, in Japan for PlayStation 4 in December 2017, and in English last August. The PS4 remake uses the "Dragon Engine" that Sega created to develop Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, as well as new characters and new playable scenarios.

Sega released Yakuza Kiwami, a similar remake of the original Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku) game, in Japan for PS3 and PS4 in January 2016. The game then shipped in English for PS4 in August 2017, and launched for PC via Steam on February 19.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life launched on the PS4 in Japan in December 2016 and in North America in April 2018.

The Yakuza Online (Ryū ga Gotoku Online) game launched for iOS and Android devices and on PC on November 21.
