Crunchyroll Adds New Strike Witches, 2nd Trinity Seven Anime Film in U.S.

Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it is streaming the Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off! anime. The company also announced that it will add Trinity Seven: Heavens Library & Crimson Lord (Trinity Seven: Tenkū Toshokan to Shinku no Maō), the second anime film based on Kenji Saitō and Akinari Nao's Trinity Seven manga, in the United States.

The first three episodes of Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off! are available now. New English-subtitled episodes will premiere on Tuesdays at 12:15 p.m. EDT, and the dubbed episodes will debut on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The series is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Funimation is also streaming the series. The company describes the adaptation of Makoto Fujibayashi's Strike Witches 501 Butai Hasshinshimasu! manga:

Strike Witches, the 501st Joint Fighter Wing girls, are back from battle and ready to relax as best they can! War with the deadly Neuroi won't last forever, but one thing is certain, the war on laundry is eternal. Join these aerial combat cuties in a down-to-earth series highlighting the team's hijinks between missions.

Fumio Itō (episode director for Rage of Bahamut Genesis, School-Live!, Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World) is directing the anime at acca effe and Giga Production, with Production I.G and Anime Beans credited for collaborating on animation production. Humikane Shimada and Projekt Kagonish are credited with the original work. Shinya Murakami (Strike Witches 2, Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow, High School Fleet) is returning to handle series literature. Seikou Nagaoka is also returning to compose the music, with Nippon Columbia credited for music production. Other returning staff members include sound director Tomohiro Yoshida at Glovision and producer Takashi Tachizaki.

Trinity Seven: Heavens Library & Crimson Lord will launch on Crunchyroll in the United States on Thursday. Crunchyroll describes the film:

Arata Kasuga is a Demon Lord candidate who possesses the "Demon Lord Element," which is said to destroy the world. He, along with Lilith Asami, is investigating a certain ruin.

Suddenly, a dazzling light pours down from the sky. A mysterious man in a hood who looks just like Arata appears. The man has regained his power as the Demon Lord and now plans to destroy the world. He reveals to Arata a shocking truth...

Crunchyroll began streaming the film outside of Asia and North America in March.

The film features returning staff, including director Hiroshi Nishikiori, scriptwriter Kenji Saitō, character designer and chief animation director Shinpei Tomooka, composer TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND, and anime studio Seven Arcs Pictures. Avex Pictures is distributing the film in Japan.
