Allows players to control Free Underbar in race

The official website for P.A. Works' original television anime Fairy gone revealed on Wednesday that the anime's first Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video volume release in Japan will bundle an 8-bit PC racing game titled Free ride - Free Underbar Ride. The game allows players to control main character Free Underbar as he drives his motorcycle.

The volume will ship on July 17.

The anime premiered on April 7, and will have 24 episodes. Funimation is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan. Funimation describes the anime:

From the director of Drifters, and the creator behind Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions, comes a war-torn world on the brink of calamity. Able to summon fairies as alter-ego weapons, former soldiers become government dogs, mafia members, and even terrorists in search of purpose beyond the battlefield. Who will maintain the peace they all fought for nine years ago?

Kenichi Suzuki (Cells at Work!, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Drifters) is directing the anime, with Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash light novel author Ao Jūmonji writing and overseeing the scripts. Haruhisa Nakata drew the original designs for the characters and fairies, while Takako Shimizu (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Sōsei no Aquarion Love) designed the characters for animation.

Junichi Higashi is directing the art of the anime, and Naomi Nakano is serving as the color key artist. Tsunetaka Ema is the director of photography, and Kōtarō Shishido and Motonari Ichikawa are directing the 3D CG. Kiyoshi Hirose is editing, and Jin Aketagawa is directing the sound with sound effects by Tsutomu Ueno. [K]NoW_NAME (Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Sakura Quest) is credited for music production, and is performing the opening theme song "KNOCK on the CORE" and ending theme song "Ash-like Snow." "Five fairy scholars" is credited for the original work.
