Hell Warden Higuma Manga Ends in Shonen Jump

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Manga that launched in December will get epilogue on Shonen Jump+

This year's 24th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published the final chapter on Monday for Natsuki Hokami's Hell Warden Higuma (Gokutei Higuma) manga.

Hokami launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in the magazine's third issue on December 17. Shueisha will publish the manga's second volume on June 4, and will publish the third volume in August. Shueisha will publish an epilogue for the manga on its Shonen Jump+ website and app in July.

Viz Media began publishing the manga in English digitally simultaneously with the Japanese release, coinciding with the launch of its new Shonen Jump website and subscription service. Shueisha's free MANGA Plus website and app also publishes the manga in English worldwide outside of Japan, China, and South Korea.

The manga centers on Higuma Kagarite, who is from a family of exorcists who have the ability to send spirits back to hell after they have come to the realm of the living and possessed human bodies, making those humans commit crimes. 400 years ago, many souls broke out from hell, and Higuma is a warden of hell, who is duty-bound to send all the souls back.

Hokami previously serialized a manga titled Higuma no Te in Jump Giga, and Shueisha published a single compiled volume in December 2017.
