Neofilms Opens Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love Kingdom Anime Film in Hong Kong in June

Film opens in Japan on June 14

Hong Kong film distributor Neofilms began streaming a Chinese-subtitled trailer for the Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love Kingdom anime film on Thursday. The video reveals that Neofilms will open the film in Hong Kong on June 20.

Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love Kingdom will open in Japan on June 14.

Utano☆Princesama Legend Star director Takeshi Furuta is returning as chief director, and Utano☆Princesama Legend Star episode director Tomoka Nagaoka is directing at A-1 Pictures. Hiroshi Nakajima (Fate/Apocrypha, Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV) is serving as CG director. Maki Fujioka is returning to design the characters based on Chinatsu Kurahana's original designs. Fujioka is also the chief animation director. Katsuyoshi Miyajima (Cyborg 009 Call of Justice, AKB0048 next stage) is the character modeling supervisor. Elements Garden is returning to compose the music.

The film's cast members are reprising their roles from previous anime in the franchise.

Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000%, the first anime season adapting Broccoli's dating simulation video game for female players, premiered in Japan in July 2011. In the first season of the slapstick romantic comedy, the female protagonist goes to a school for the performing arts with young men who are budding idols. The subsequent seasons followed seven of the young men after they form the idol group ST☆RISH. The 13-episode second season, Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000%, premiered in Japan in April 2013. The 13-episode third season, Utano☆Princesama Revolutions, premiered in April 2015. The 13-episode fourth season, Utano☆Princesama Legend Star, premiered in October 2016.
