Mob Psycho 100 OVA Reveals Title, Visual, September Release

The official website for the anime adaptations of ONE's Mob Psycho 100 manga revealed the title, visual, and September 25 release date of the upcoming all-new original OVA for the franchise on Friday. The OVA's title is Mob Psycho 100 Dai Ikkai Rei to ka Sōdansho Ianryokō ~Kokoro Mitasu Iyashi no Tabi~ (Mob Psycho 100: The Spirits and Such Consultation Office's First Company Outing ~A Healing Trip that Warms the Heart~). The OVA will debut on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on September 25.

The OVA will also have a release event on the same day at Animate Akihabara with Setsuo Ito as a guest.

Yuzuru Tachikawa is returning to direct the anime at BONES.

The anime's first season premiered in Japan in July 2016, and the second season premiered this past January. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan. Funimation streamed English dubs for the anime and released the first series on home video. The first series joined Adult Swim's Toonami programming block last October. The Mob Psycho 100 REIGEN: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic event anime debuted in March 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed it. Crunchyroll and Funimation later streamed it with a dub.

Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. Mob) is an 8th grader with powerful psychic abilities. Workingunder his not-so-capable master, Reigen, Mob uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits. But his will to be normal causes him to suppress his powers and feelings until he hits 100 percent — a point where his pent-up emotions are unleashed and a darker power takes over.

Tachikawa and Ito will also attend this year's Crunchyroll Expo event. Crunchyroll Expo will take place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California from August 30 through September 1.
