PS4 game appears at E3 on June 11-13

XSEED Games announced on Friday that it will release Arc System Works' Granblue Fantasy: Versus fighting game for PlayStation 4 in North America. The company confirmed that the game will launch in Japan in 2019 but stated that it will announce the North American release date later. XSEED Games will show the game at E3 in Los Angeles from June 11 to 13.

Cygames previously revealed that there will be a closed beta test for the game. The franchise's "Extra Fes" event in Sendai (in July) and Osaka (in August) will also have a playable version of the game.

Game director Tetsuya Fukuhara reportedly said in February that the game will launch worldwide simultaneously for the PlayStation 4 this year. Playable characters in the game so far include Gran, Katalina, Charlotta, Lancelot, Ferry, Lowain, and Ladiva. Stella Magna is composing the music for the game.

Cygames released the original Granblue Fantasy smartphone game in 2014, and the game has more than 23 million downloads. Cygames is also working on the Granblue Fantasy: Relink PlayStation 4 game, which will also have a worldwide simultaneous release. Cygames took over development of the game from Platinum Games in February. The game is planned for English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish localizations.
