Anime Expo Hosts Falcom Head Toshihiro Kondo, MAPPA Staff, Lord El-Melloi Premiere

Anime Expo announced on Tuesday that it will host Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo as a guest, and it will also hold the U.S. premiere for the first two episodes of the Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace note anime. Crunchyroll announced that it will host a "Crunchyroll x MAPPA" panel that will highlight the MAPPA anime Zombie Land Saga and to the abandoned Sacred Beasts, with guests from both anime attending at Anime Expo.

Kondo will participate in two panels. The first panel on Thursday, July 4 at 4:30 p.m. will focus on Kondo's history and role in Nihon Falcom, while the second panel that same day at 7:00p.m. will focus on the development of the Nihon Falcom's The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III game.

Kondo joined Nihon Falcom in 1998, and became president of the company in 2007. Kondo has been a director and producer for many of the company's games, including its flagship franchises The Legend of Heroes (including the Trails of the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel) and Ys.

Aniplex is holding the screening for the first two episodes of the Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace note on July 4 at 1:30 p.m.

The anime will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV on July 6 at 24:00 (effectively on July 7 at 12:00 a.m.), before airing a few hours later on MBS. The show will stream on 16 services in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.

"Episode 0" of the anime premiered during a television special on December 31.

The anime adapts Makoto Sanda's Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo (The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II) mystery novel spinoff series for Type-Moon's Fate franchise.

Makoto Katō (Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-, Bloom Into You) is directing the series at TROYCA. Ukyō Kodachi (Chaos Dragon, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) is in charge of series composition. Jun Nakai (GATE, Silver Spoon) is designing the characters. Ei Aoki (Fate/Zero director) is credited as supervisor.

The Zombie Land Saga guests attending the "Crunchyroll x MAPPA" panel include voice actress Maki Kawase, director Munehisa Sakai, and producer Manabu Ohtsuka.

The to the abandoned Sacred Beasts guests attending the panel include Ohtsuka, soundtrack composer Yoshihiro Ike, and NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan producer Reo Kurosu.

The panel is scheduled for July 5 at 12:00 p.m. in the JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom.

Zombie Land Saga premiered last October, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, while Funimation streamed an English dub.

to the abandoned Sacred Beasts will premiere on July 1. Crunchyroll will stream the series.

This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the surrounding area.
