The BookWalker retailer announced on Saturday that it will host KONOSUBA novel illustrator Kurone Mishima at this year's Anime Expo event. Mishima will have two autograph sessions at the event, and BookWalker is now accepting online registrations for tickets to the signings.
Mishima will also attend the "'EXPLOOOSION!' - Meet the staff behind KONOSUBA!" panel on July 6 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
The original KONOSUBA (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! or Konosuba - God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!) light novels by author Natsume Akatsuki inspired two television anime seasons. The first season premiered in January 2016, and the second season premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired in Japan, and debuted an English dub for the first season on January 15. The Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kurenai Densetsu (KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world! Crimson Legend) anime film will open in Japan on August 30.
Yen Press is releasing the original light novels and Masahito Watari's manga adaptation in English. The company has also licensed the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spinoff novel series.
This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the surrounding area.
