Details for Gundam Releases from Anime Limited

Anime Limited has announced further details about its upcoming releases in the Gundam franchise.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack will be released as a Limited Collector's Blu-ray (pictured right) on July 29, including a poster and art cards. Both the subtitled and dubbed versions will be included.

For customers who pre-order this title or any other upcoming Gundam releases, there is a bonus item while stocks last; a Gundam keychain. There will be two different designs - one with the Earth Federation emblem and one with the Zeon emblem – which will be randomly selected.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing will be released on Blu-ray in two parts, with Part 1 due in August/September (date TBC) and Part 2 in Q4, tentatively in October. Part 1 will contain the first 25 episodes, and a box that can store both parts of the series. Part 2 will contain parts 26 to 49, and an art book.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz will be released in Q4 2019 (date TBC), including both the movie and OVA versions of the title, both subtitled and English-dubbed. This release will also include Gundam Wing: Operation Meteor, subtitled only.

There will also be a complete Gundam Wing collection, containing both the series and Endless Waltz, later in 2019. Anime Limited adds that, "We appreciate some of you won't want to wait to buy the series but will still want to have the complete collection.... We've already got a plan in place to make sure those of you in this scenario are accommodated via an exclusive opportunity at our AllTheAnime online store nearer the time of release. There will be a standard Blu-ray of Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky on August 12.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower will be released as a Collector's Blu-ray Collector's Edition set in late August/early September (exact date TBC), including a poster and art cards.

The three cinema feature films compiled from the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam TV series - Mobile Suit Gundam I, Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow and Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space - will be released together in a standard Blu-ray collection on July 29. The films will be subtitled only and will have both the original theatrical 2.0 audio and the later “Special Edition” 5.1 audio.

There will also be standard Blu-ray editions of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - Part 1 on July 29, Part 2 in late August/early September - and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - Part 1 in late September, Part 2 in October.

There will also be a standard Blu-ray containing the first four episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. The episodes are Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin I - Blue-Eyed Casval, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin II - Artesia's Sorrow, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III - Dawn of Rebellion and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin IV - Eve of Destiny.

Anime Limited also mentions that it is teaming up with Gundam MAD, the supplier of Gundam model kits and other products, to present a Gundam section at the upcoming Transformers convention TFNation, at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham from August 16 to 18. There will be a dedicated Gundam sales area, introductory panels, speed builds by Gundam fans, and some Gundam Blu-rays on sale.
