Crunchyroll Expo Hosts World Premiere of Mob Psycho 100 II OVA

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that this year's Crunchyroll Expo will host the world premiere of Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~ (Mob Psycho 100 Dai Ikkai Rei to ka Sōdansho Ianryokō ~Kokoro Mitasu Iyashi no Tabi~), the all-new original OVA for the anime of ONE's Mob Psycho 100 manga.

Crunchyroll describes the OVA's story:

Mob, Reigen, Dimple, and the newest member of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office staff, Serizawa, take a trip up to a secluded hot spring called Ibogami Hot Springs in Zebra Prefecture. Reigen happened to get a request from the matron there to discover the truth behind the strange rumors going around there and save the inn. Ritsu and Teru also join in on this trip and the six of them head out on this super relaxing trip to the hot spring. But on their way there, Reigen and Serizawa start nodding off on the train and somehow get sucked into an eerie parallel world...

Director Yuzuru Tachikawa and voice actor Setsuo Ito will also attend this year's Crunchyroll Expo event. Crunchyroll Expo will take place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California from August 30 through September 1.

The OVA will debut on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on September 25. The OVA will also have a release event on the same day at Animate Akihabara with Ito as a guest.

Tachikawa is returning to direct the anime at BONES.

The anime's first season premiered in Japan in July 2016, and the second season premiered this past January. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan. Funimation streamed English dubs for the anime and released the first series on home video. The first series joined Adult Swim's Toonami programming block last October. The Mob Psycho 100 REIGEN: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic event anime debuted in March 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed it. Crunchyroll and Funimation later streamed it with a dub.
