Satoru Matsuba, Hirokazu Kobayashi launched manga in March 2017

The August issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine revealed on Wednesday that voice actors Daisuke Ono and Takayuki Kondou's Navagraha -Virgin 9 soulS- manga will end in the magazine's next issue on July 26.

The manga is set in a world where nine people known as the "Kuyō" can summon the power of Buddha to become the strongest people in the world to fight evil. Akira and Sakuya, former Kuyō who lost their powers, live a life of regret. But when a threat arises, they stand up to fight for what is important to them. Now they must find a way to reclaim the power of Buddha, and stand against Vishuddha, who is searching for a hibutsu (hidden Buddhist image) in order to destroy the world.

Artist Satoru Matsuba (Devil Survivor) and writer Hirokazu Kobayashi launched Navagraha -Virgin 9 soulS- in Monthly Shonen Sirius in March 2017. Kodansha published the manga's second compiled book volume last November.

The first manga, titled Navagraha -DefenD 9 Triggers-, launched in Monthly Shonen Sirius in August 2015. Ono and Kondou are credited for the original work. Kobayashi wrote the script, and Takatoshi Shiozawa (Final Fantasy Type-0) drew the manga. The manga ended in November 2016. Kodansha published the third and final compiled book volume in March 2018. The limited edition second and third volumes bundled drama CDs starring Kondou as Akira and Ono as Sakuya.
