ACTORS: Songs Connection Anime Reveals October Premiere, Visual

Series features male voice actors singing Vocaloid songs

The official website for ACTORS: Songs Connection, the television anime based on EXIT TUNES' ACTORS CD project, revealed a key visual and the October premiere for the series on Friday. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and AT-X.

Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuōki series, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East both seasons) is directing the anime. Yukio Nagasaki (Love Live! School idol project, Love Live! Sunshine!!, Land of the Lustrous) is the sound director, and Asako Nishida (Love Live! School idol project, Land of the Lustrous) is designing the characters based on Meka's original character designs. Drive is animating the series, and EXIT TUNES is producing the music. Hideakira Kimura, Tomotaka Ōsumi, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi are composing the music.

The collaborative CD project launched in March 2014, and features male voice actors covering famous Vocaloid songs. The franchise includes a series of albums, a series of situation CDs, DVDs, a light novel, and a mook. The franchise also includes stage events and merchandise.

The story of the franchise centers on the everyday lives of students and teachers at the Private Amaka Academy, a school established by the the large university town group Slive Central.
