Games ship on November 15

Nintendo UK began streaming on Tuesday a video with English subtitles for the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Nintendo Switch role-playing games. The video includes a message from the games' director Shigeru Ohmori and highlights a new town in the games' new Galar region. The town is home to the Pokémon Research Center Lab where Professor Magnolia researches the Dynamax phenomenon. The video also shows a new train station, the region's new Pokémon Center design, a produce store, and a clothes boutique.

The games will ship worldwide on November 15.

The starter Pokémon in the games' new Galar region will be Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. The previously revealed new Pokémon in the games will also include Wooloo, Gossifleur, Eldegoss, Drednaw, Corviknight, the Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta, Galarian Weezing, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Linoone, Obstagoon, and Morpeko. New features will include Dynamax and Max Raid Battles, Gigantamaxing, Poké Jobs, and the Battle Stadium.

The Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! games, the franchise's first games for the Nintendo Switch, shipped in November 2018. The games are set in the Kanto region of the first Pokémon games, and are specifically based on 1998's Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition.
