Toriko Chiya Prepares Final Chapter of Clover trèfle Sequel Manga
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Manga creator Toriko Chiya revealed on Twitter on August 27 that she is working on the storyboards for the final chapter of the Clover trèfle sequel manga. She noted that the chapter will be the final one for the Clover series after 22 years.
Chiya launched the series in Shueisha's Cocohana magazine in June 2012. Shueisha published the ninth compiled book volume in June 2018. The series again follows the relationship between office workers Saya and Tsuge.
The original manga series centers on a 21-year-old office worker named Saya Suzuki. Saya never forgets the boy she liked in middle school, so she isn't interested in romantic relationships. However, this lack of interest begins to dissolve when Saya's supervisor Susumu Tsuge suddenly confesses his love.
The first Clover romance manga debuted in Shueisha's Bouquet magazine in 1997. Shueisha's Chorus began serializing the story in 2006 before the magazine changed its name to Cocohana in 2011.
Kodansha Comics is publishing Chiya's Tokyo Alice manga in English.
