posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Toei revealed more guest cast members for Star Twinkle Precure: Hoshi no Uta ni Omoi wo Komete (Star ☆ Twinkle Precure the Movie: Put Your Feelings into the Song of Stars), the anime film companion to its Star ☆ Twinkle Precure anime series, on Wednesday. The five cast members play alien UMA hunters.

The new guest cast includes:

  • Takayuki Hamatsu (One Cut of the Dead) as the weapon-bristling Gyro III from the planet Mecha (top row left)
  • Yui Ishikawa as Hydro, an alien from the planet Water who employs water in attacks (top row right)
  • Shunsuke Sakuya as Burn, an alien from the planet Nitro who unleashes fire punches (center row left)
  • Jin Katagiri as Dive, an alien from the planet Shadow who attacks the Precure girls with shadows (center row right)
  • Ryūsuke Komakine (Afro Tanaka) as the robotic alien Chōp from the planet Giant (bottom row left)

The film will open in Japan on October 19.

The film's story will center on the Precures meeting a UMA ("unidentified mysterious animal," pronounced "yūma," pictured center in above poster). The five Precures deepen their bond with the creature through song.

Yūta Tanaka (Go! Princess Precure, Eiga Mahō Tsukai Precure! Kiseki no Henshin! Cure Mofurun!) is directing the film. Toei stated that the film's theme will be "bonds," and will feature the "most painful and warm" story in the film series so far.

Rina Chinen will play the new character and Starry Sky police officer Mary Anne (Note: name romanization not confirmed), and she will also perform the film's theme song "Twinkle Stars."

Star ☆ Twinkle Precure is the 16th and newest Precure (Pretty Cure) television anime series, and it premiered on February 3.

The story of Star ☆ Twinkle Precure begins when the protagonist Hikaru meets aliens Lala, Prunce, and Fuwa while watching the night sky. She learns of the "Star Palace," where the 12 Star Princesses of the constellations kept the balance of the universe until they were attacked. Lala is searching for the legendary Precure warriors to help find the 12 scattered "Princess Star Color Pens" and revive the princesses. When Fuwa is captured by an enemy, Hikaru wishes to save Fuwa, and a Star Color Pendent and a Star Color Pen appear to allow her to transform into Cure Star. From then on she works to collect the pens and raise Fuwa, who is the key to reviving the princesses.

Hiroaki Miyamoto (One Piece Film Gold) is directing the series and Isao Murayama (Maho Girls Precure!) is organizing the series. Akira Takahashi (Suite Precure, Dokidoki! Precure) is designing the characters. Series regular Ryuutarou Masuda is handling the art design along with Riho Iida. Yuki Hayashi (Hugtto! Precure, My Hero Academia) and Asami Tachibana (Haikyu!!, DARLING in the FRANXX) are composing the music. Rie Kitagawa is performing the opening theme song "Kirari ☆ 彡 Star ☆ Twinkle Precure" and Chiha Yoshitake is performing the ending song "Papepipu ☆ Romantic."
