Anime's subbed version premieres on October 2, dub premieres on October 16

Funimation announced on Tuesday that it will stream After School Dice Club (Hōkago Saikoro Club), the television anime of Hirō Nakamichi's manga of the same name. The company will begin streaming the anime in Japanese with English subtitles on October 2 and with an English dub on October 16. The anime will stream in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Funimation also confirmed that it will continue to stream the Ensemble Stars! anime for the fall season.

Funimation describes the After School Dice Club anime:

During a beautiful spring day in Kyoto, Aya and Miki follow the student council president Midori to a board game shop. The three students end up discovering a German board game that causes them realize their shared passion for games. In the coming days, many more board games will be found and played!

The anime will premiere in Japan on ABC TV on October 2, and on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 3.

Kenichi Imaizumi (Reborn!, Student Council's Discretion Lv. 2, Komori-san Can't Decline) is directing the anime at Liden Films. Atsushi Maekawa (The Prince of Tennis, Fresh Pretty Cure, Hunter × Hunter) is in charge of series composition. Yukiko Ibe (Onigiri, Nanatsuiro Drops, Magical Girl Ore) is designing the characters. Shūji Katayama (Overlord, Saga of Tanya the Evil) of Team-MAX is composing the music.

Miyu Tomita is performing the opening song "Present Moment." Saki Miyashita, Marika Kōno, and Tomita are performing the anime's ending theme song "On the Board" as their respective characters.

Nakamichi launched the manga in Monthly Shonen Sunday in March 2013. Sugorokuya is credited with cooperation on the manga.
