Compass of Dei Gratia Visual Novel's Kickstarter Campaign Launches

Lemnisca plans to release game for PC in 2020; Switch version is stretch goal

Localization company Lemnisca launched its planned Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign on Monday for its release of Catalyst's Compass of Dei gratia -On the Fifth Day- (Dei gratia no Rashinban) visual novel. The campaign aims to raise US$57,000 to fund the game's localization, and it will end on October 31.

The stretch goals include more event illustrations for the game, a bonus scenario and art book, and a Nintendo Switch version.

The game is slated for release in the second quarter of 2020 on PC via Steam.

Lemnisca describes the game:

August 1st, 2033 - A deep-sea cruise submarine sinks to the bottom of the murky ocean floor approximately 700 meters below the surface. 50 lives are lost in an instant with the remaining few passengers left to figure out the path to their survival.

But in the depths of the vast ocean, there lurks an unimaginable threat.

An eternal loop of records and memories amid countless unanswered questions.

By what means could those girls have escaped the depths of the sea alive? Can these fragments of “two survivors” save them all in the end?

Perhaps if other choices are made, the future will be changed. Who lives, who dies, you will be the one that decides.

This is a novel with no set answer.

Catalyst released the game in Japan in August 2015 at Comic Market 88.
