Rakudai Ninja Rantarō Manga to End at 65th Volume
posted on by Alex Mateo
The official Twitter account for Soubee Amako's long-running Rakudai Ninja Rantarō ninja gag manga revealed on Monday that the manga will end with the 65th compiled book volume on November 30. The final volume will get a regular edition release as well as a special edition that includes a 32-page booklet.
The original manga, the ongoing 1993 Nintama Rantaro television anime, the two anime films, and the two live-action films all center around Rantarō, a ninja apprentice at an elite ninjutsu academy in historical Japan. As elementary students, Rantarō and his ninja-in-training friends are called "Nintama" — a contraction of the words "ninja" and "tamago" ("egg").
The manga launched in Asahi Shōgakusei Shimbun in 1986. The 64th compiled book volume shipped in October 2018.
