Champignon Witch manga also gets side story on October 25

This year's 21st issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine announced last Friday that manga creator Tachibana Higuchi will launch a new manga titled Champignon no Majo (Champignon Witch) on Hakusensha's Manga Park manga app on October 18. The manga will also have new chapters on October 19 and 20, and will have new chapters every Friday after that. A side story will also debut in Hakusensha's The Hana to Yume magazine on October 25.

Higuchi's most recent manga was Kageki no Kuni no Alice (Alice in the Country of Opera) manga, a spinoff of the Gakuen Alice manga. Higuchi first published a a two-chapter short manga in December 2015, and later launched the manga as a series in March 2016. The manga ended in September 2017.

Higuchi ended her long-running Gakuen Alice manga in The Hana to Yume in 2013. Tokyopop published 16 volumes of the manga before the company shut down. The company also published four volumes of Higuchi's earlier Portrait of M & N manga.

Gakuen Alice inspired a 26-episode television anime series in 2004-2005. Right Stuf released the series on DVD in North America.
