The official website and Twitter account for the stage play adaptation of honeybee's Starry Sky franchise revealed on October 16 that the franchise will have a second stage play titled Starry☆Sky on STAGE Season 2. The play will run at the Kinokuniya Southern Theater Takashimaya in Tokyo from January 15 to 26.

Fumiya Matsuzaki (A3!, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 stage plays) is the general supervisor for the play, and Iyo Nishikōri (The Morose Mononokean stage play) is writing the scripts. Kōjirō Ishioka is directing the choreography.

The play will feature returning cast members, but with the addition of DAIKI Sagawa as Takuya Nashimoto, Takuya Ayagiri as Kensuke Awata, Terumi as Makoto Kakino, Taiki Umezu as Shūgo Kōji, and Keigo Ōkawa as Morio Tachibana.

The first stage play ran at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel's Club eX in Tokyo from July 10-15.

The Starry Sky otome game and drama CD project revolves around 13 young men whose characters represent the attributes of the Zodiac signs (including the 13th sign Ophiuchus). A 26-episode anime adaptation debuted in 2010 on Animate.tv. Hal Minagawa penned a manga adaptation, and Digital Manga licensed the series in 2011. The franchise has also inspired several games.

Asgard, the company that owned the honeybee label that managed the franchise, dissolved on January 4.
