Kodansha's Magazine Pocket manga app published the 45th and final chapter on Friday of Ushio Andō's Fairy Tail City Hero spinoff manga based on Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga.
Andō launched the manga in October 2018. The manga reimagines if the cast of the original Fairy Tail manga were on a police force. The manga follows the rookie police worker Lucy after she joins Magnolia Police's Fairy Tail team.
Mashima's Fairy Tail manga series follows the adventures of world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. The manga launched in 2006 and ended in July 2017.
The manga has inspired two television anime, two anime films, several original video anime projects, and spinoff manga. Kodansha Comics publishes the original manga and a number of its spinoffs in North America.
The "final series" of the television anime premiered in October 2018, and ended in September. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the anime with English subtitles, and Funimation also streamed an English dub.
