Fairy Tail RPG's Special Trailer Streamed

Gust's PS4/Switch/PC game launches in 2020

The official website for Koei Tecmo's Fairy Tail role-playing game began streaming a special trailer on Tuesday.

KOEI Tecmo America describes the game:

Start your journey in the land of Fiore and play through the adventures of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia as well as other eccentric members of the Fairy Tail mage guild on a fun-filled and thrilling quest. GUST Studios is creating the game under the supervision of author Hiro Mashima, promising a faithful recreation for the Fairy Tail world and its unusual inhabitants, including everything from magic to its iconic characters.

KOEI Tecmo Games will launch the game for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Japan in 2020. Koei Tecmo America will launch in the West in 2020. KOEI Tecmo Games' GUST Studios is developing the game under the supervision of manga creator Hiro Mashima.

The most recent and final anime season based on Hiro Mashima's manga premiered in October 2018, and ended in September. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the anime with English subtitles, and Funimation also streamed an English dub.

Mashima's Fairy Tail manga series follows the adventures of world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. The manga launched in 2006 and ended in July 2017.

The manga has inspired two earlier television anime, two anime films, several original video anime projects, and spinoff manga. Kodansha Comics publishes the original manga and a number of its spinoffs in North America.
