Animax Asia Airs Granbelm Anime on December 10

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Original magical girl mecha anime premiered on July 5 earlier this year

Animax Asia began streaming a commercial on Wednesday for its airing of the Granbelm original anime, revealing that the anime will begin airing on the channel on December 10 at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8, and it will air two episodes every Monday and Tuesday.

Granbelm premiered on July 5. Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside of Asia, and it describes the anime:

The destiny of the full moon-- The wheels of fate start spinning on the night of the new moon.

It had been nearly 1,000 years since all the magic in the world disappeared, and most people had forgotten it ever existed at all. Kohinata Mangetsu is a cheerful high school student who has a pretty positive outlook on life, but there was some doubt in her heart. She has nothing to call her own-- Because she wasn't good at academics or sports, she dreamed of having something she was actually good at.

On a night where the full moon was shining brightly, she happens to meet another girl who also has the character for "moon" in her name named Shingetsu Ernesta Hukami. That was also when she encountered the mechanical dolls called "ARMANOX." The wheels of fate of the full moon start to spin slowly...

Masaharu Watanabe (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Memory Snow, Wakaba Girl) directed the series at Nexus (Wakaba Girl, Chivalry of a Failed Knight). Jukki Hanada (Sound! Euphonium, Love Live! School idol project, Love Live! Sunshine!!) oversaw the series scripts and Shinichirou Otsuka (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- light novel illustrator) designed the original characters. Infinite produced the anime. Eir Aoi performed opening theme song "Tsuki o Ou Mayonaka" (Following the Moon in the Middle of the Night), and Uru is performed the anime's ending theme song "Negai" (Wish).
