House of the Sun's Taamo Launches New Manga on December 28

Itoshi no Kanojo ga Kakure Otaku datta manga centers on serious guy who changes after dating girlfriend

The January issue of Shogakukan's Flowers magazine revealed on Thursday that manga creator Taamo will launch the new manga Itoshi no Kanojo ga Kakure Otaku Datta (My Beloved Girlfriend Was a Hidden Otaku) in the next issue on December 28. The manga will have a color opening page. The magazine hinted that the story will center on a straight-laced and serious man who slowly starts to become a "fudanshi" (guy who loves boys-love stories) after he starts dating a girl.

Taamo launched her House of the sun. (Taiyō no Ie) manga in 2010 in Dessert magazine and ended it in January 2015. She then serialized a short spinoff manga from February to March 2015. The original manga won the shōjo category of the 38th Kodansha Awards in 2014.

Taamo launched the I'm in Love and It's the End of the World manga in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in November 2014 and ended it in October 2017. The fifth and final volume of the series shipped in December 2017 in Japan.

The creator launched her Atsumori-kun's Bride-to-be manga in Dessert in May 2018, and

Kodansha Comics is publishing House of the sun., I'm in Love and It's the End of the World, and Atsumori-kun's Bride-to-be manga digitally in English.
