Animax Asia Airs Legend of the Galactic Heroes: DNT 2nd Season on March 25

2nd season debuted in Japan last September

Animax Asia began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Seiran (The New Thesis: Stellar War) anime on Wednesday. The video reveals that Animax Asia will air the anime beginning on March 25, with new episodes on Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8.

The anime debuted in Japan as a series of three films that comprises the second "season" of the new anime of Yoshiki Tanaka's epic science fiction novels Legend of the Galactic Heroes. The first film opened in Japan last September. The second film opened last October, and the third opened last November. Each film will have a length of four television episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime in weekly episdes under the title The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Second beginning last September.

The anime will debut on television in Japan beginning with an airing of the first season on April 6.

The first season, The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Kaikō (The New Thesis: Star-Crossed), aired as a 12-episode series that premiered in April 2018.

Shunsuke Tada (Kuroko's Basketball, STARMYU) directed the anime at Production I.G. Noboru Takagi (Durarara!!, Kuroko's Basketball) was in charge of the series scripts. Yōko Kikuchi (Junjō Romantica, Kuroko's Basketball, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi - The World's Greatest First Love), Iwao Teraoka (The Brave Police J-Decker guest character designs, Kuroko's Basketball storyboarder), and Katsura Tsushima (Kuroko's Basketball episode animation director) designed the characters, and Takayuki Goto (Kuroko's Basketball, Blood-C) served as chief animation director.
