Naomichi Io's manga based on Wataru Watari's light novels launched in 2012

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo released the first volume of Naomichi Io's My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected @ comic (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. @comic) manga last week.

The manga is one of two manga adaptations based on Wataru Watari's My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected light novel series, the other being Reichi Kazuki's Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabu Kome wa Machigatteiru. -Monologue-. While Io's manga is directly based on the light novel series, Kazuki's manga is based on the events of the anime, containing all the differences the anime has from the light novel story. Io launched the manga in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX magazine in December 2012. The manga's 14th volume revealed last November that the manga is ending soon. Shogakukan published the 15th volume on March 19.

The light novel series centers on Hachiman Hikigaya, a high school student on the lowest pecking order of the school caste, and whose bad social experiences with other people have left him deeply cynical of socializing in general. In an attempt at reforming him, a teacher makes Hachiman join a school club that takes random requests from people, joined there by the standoffish Yukino Yukinoshita and cheerful Yui Yuigahama.

Watari began the original light novels with illustrations by Ponkan8 in Japan in 2011. The series' final arc began with the 12th volume, which shipped in September 2017. The 14th and final volume shipped on November 19 last year. The novels previously inspired two anime seasons in 2013 and 2015, with a third season premiering on July 9.
