Muse Vietnam also adds Monster Girl Doctor stream

Muse Asia and Muse Malaysia announced on Wednesday that they will stream the Lapis Re:LiGHTs and Monster Girl Doctor anime. In addition, Muse Vietnam also announced that it will stream Monster Girl Doctor (it previously announced its Lapis Re:LiGHTs stream on Monday).

The stream for Lapis Re:LiGHTs will debut on each service on Saturday, July 4 at 10:30 p.m GMT +8 (with a holdback of three days for Thailand). The anime will also premiere in Japan on Saturday.

Lapis Re:LiGHTs is the television anime for KLab Games and Kadokawa's "Magic x Idol" mixed-media project.

20 cast members in six of the project's units perform the opening "Watashi-tachi no Startrail" (Our Startrail) as the group Lapis Re:LiGHTs Stars. One of the units, LiGHTs, performs the ending theme song "Planetarium." The single with both songs will ship on July 8.

The theme of the project is in its full title, Lapis Re:LiGHTs ~Kono Sekai no Idol wa Mahō ga Tsukaeru~ (The idols in this world can use magic). "Asa no Hajime" is writing the scenario, and U35 is designing the characters. Yoshitaka Murayama is collaborating on the worldview setting, and Zuji is providing concept art.

Hiroyuki Hata (Kamichu!, Recently, my sister is unusual.) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Kasumi Tsuchida (Nekopara) and Hajime Asano (Mayo Chiki! light novel author) are overseeing the series scripts. Taro Ikegami (Gamers!) is the character designer and chief animation director. Satoshi Hōno (Demon Lord, Retry!, Aggretsuko) is composing the music.

The franchise also includes plans for a smartphone role-playing game, novels, live events, and a manga by artist Hiroichi (High School DxD: Asia & Koneko's Secret Contract!?) and Shingo Nagai.

The stream for Monster Girl Doctor will debut on Muse Asia and Muse Vietnam on Saturday, July 4 at 10:30 p.m. GMT +8. The first episode will debut on Muse Malaysia on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. GMT +8, with future episodes debuting at 11:30 p.m. The anime will premiere on television in Japan on July 12, but will have advanced streams of the first episode on July 4.

Monster Girl Doctor (Monster Musume no Oisha-san) is based on Yoshino Origuchi's light novel series of the same name.

Yoshiaki Iwasaki (We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, The Familiar of Zero, Last Period: the journey to the end of the despair) is directing the anime at Arvo Animation (We Never Learn: BOKUBEN). Hideki Shirane (Date A Live, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is in charge of the series scripts. Hiromi Kato (Kobato., Chain Chronicle, ID-0) is designing the characters. TO-MAS is composing the music.

The idol group ARCANA PROJECT is performing the opening song "Campanella Hibiku Sora de" (In the Sky Where the Bells Ring) as the group's first single, and the CD will ship on September 9. Aina Suzuki is performing the ending song "Yasahisa no Namae" (The Name of Kindness).

Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the novels in North America, and it describes the story:

In the town of Lindworm where monsters and humans coexist, Dr. Glenn runs an exemplary medical clinic for monster girls with his lamia assistant, Sapphee. Whether receiving a marriage proposal by a centaur injured in battle, palpating the injury of a mermaid, or suturing the delicate wounds of a flesh golem, Dr. Glenn performs his job with grace and confidence. But when an unsavory character seeks to steal a harpy egg, how will the unflappable Dr. Glenn respond...?

Yoshino writes the series and Z-Ton, one of the artists featured in the Monster Musume: I ♥ Monster Girls anthology, provides the illustrations.
