On Monday September 28, Anime Limited will release Makoto Shinkai's film Weathering With You as a Collectors Blu-ray/DVD. It will also release standard Blu-ray and DVD editions of the film. The Collectors Edition will include a CD of the Original Soundtrack by Radwimps, and will come with Steelbook packaging.

GKIDS, which distributed Weathering With You in America, describes the film:

The summer of his high school freshman year, Hodaka runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, and quickly finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits. The weather is unusually gloomy and rainy every day, as if to suggest his future. He lives his days in isolation, but finally finds work as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine. Then one day, Hodaka meets Hina on a busy street corner. This bright and strongwilled girl possesses a strange and wonderful ability: the power to stop the rain and clear the sky...

Shinkai is credited with the original work, and also directed and wrote the film's scripts for CoMix Wave Films. Masayoshi Tanaka (your name., anohana, The Anthem of the Heart) designed the characters, Atsushi Tamura (The Cat Returns, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin) was the animation director, and Hiroshi Takiguchi (The Garden of Words, Ajin) was the art director. Story Inc. is credited as producer, and TOHO distributed the film. RADWIMPS' Yōjirō Noda composed five vocal theme songs for the film, and the group also provided 27 background music songs for the film. Tōko Miura sang RADWIMPS' "Grand Escape (Movie edit) feat. Toko Miura" and "Shukusai (Movie edit) feat. Toko Miura" theme songs for the film.

The Deluxe editions of the film will follow on November 2.

MVM will release the 12-part series O Maidens in Your Savage Season on Blu-ray. Sentai Filmworks, which released the series in America, describes the story:

"When the girls in the literature club ask themselves, “What do you want to do before you die?” one of them gives a most surprising response. Now they're all preoccupied (for better or for worse) by their friend's unexpected answer! Soon each of these very different young women find themselves propelled along the uncertain road to adulthood, their emotional journeys taking them down paths as surprising as their friend's unconventional wish. Poignant, painful and awkward in turns, O Maidens in Your Savage Season chronicles with humour and with grace the universal rites of passage so endemic to growing up."

Masahiro Ando (Sword of the Stranger, Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow, Sirius the Jaeger, Snow White with the Red Hair) and Takurō Tsukada (Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart., Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom) directed the anime at Lay-duce, and Okada herself wrote the scripts. Kaori Ishii (animation director for The Eden of Grisaia, Rewrite) was in charge of the character designs.

Manga Entertainment will release Fairy Gone Season 1 Part 1 on Blu-ray and DVD, carrying the first 12 parts of the series. Funimation, which released the series in America, described the story:

"From the director of Drifters, and the creator behind Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions, comes a war-torn world on the brink of calamity. Able to summon fairies as alter-ego weapons, former soldiers become government dogs, mafia members, and even terrorists in search of purpose beyond the battlefield. Who will maintain the peace they all fought for nine years ago?"

Kenichi Suzuki (Cells at Work!, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Drifters) directed the anime, while Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash light novel author Ao Jūmonji wrote and oversaw the scripts. Haruhisa Nakata drew the original designs for the characters and fairies, while Takako Shimizu (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Sōsei no Aquarion Love) designed the characters for animation.
