Netflix India Releases 'How Many Kilograms Are The Dumbbells You Lift?', 4 More Anime on November 20

Netflix India is listing five new anime series for release on November 20:

  • How Many Kilograms Are The Dumbbells You Lift?
  • Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds of Life
  • Astra Lost in Space
  • The Millionaire Detective Balance: UNLIMITED
  • Dr. Stone


The television anime of Yabako Sandrovich and MAAM's How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? (Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru? or How much heavy dumbbells can you lift?) manga premiered in Japan in July 2019.

With her waistline slowly expanding, high schooler Sakura Hibiki decides to join the gym. But can she fit in among all the hardcore athletes?

Mitsue Yamazaki (Tada Never Falls in Love, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) directed the anime at Doga Kobo, and Fumihiko Shimo (New Game!) was in charge of the series scripts. Ai Kikuchi (New Game!) designed the characters. Silver Man Gym presented the project.

Ai Fairouz and Kaito Ishikawa performed the opening theme song "Onegai Muscle" as their characters Hibiki Sakura and Naruzō Machio, respectively. Ishikawa also performed the ending theme song "Macho A Name?" as his character.

Sandrovich and MAAM, a relatively new manga artist, launched the manga on Shogakukan's web manga site Ura Sunday and on Shogakukan's Manga One app in 2016. Shogakukan published the 10th volume on August 12. Seven Seas Entertainment published the third manga volume in English on June 2.

The television anime of Amyū's Kono Oto Tomare! (Stop This Sound!) manga premiered in Japan in April 2019 and aired for 13 episodes. The show's second half premiered October 5.

The school delinquent and a gifted player join the near-defunct koto club, bringing it back to life. They soon have a new goal: to compete nationally.

Ryōma Mizuno is serving as the series director at Platinum Vision (Saiyuki Reload Blast, Servamp, Devils' Line). Ayumu Hisao (Devils' Line, Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side) is both writing and overseeing the scripts, Junko Yamanaka (ReLIFE, Servamp) is the character designer, and Toshimitsu Kobayashi (Spice and Wolf II, Aoharu x Machinegun) is the sub-character designer. Yamanaka and Kobayashi are also both serving as chief animation directors, and Hideaki Oba is the adviser.

The manga also inspired a stage play in 2019.

The television anime of Kenta Shinohara's Astra Lost in Space (Kanata no Astra) manga premiered in Japan in July 2019. Muse Asia streamed the anime in India on September 1.

In a future where space travel is commonplace, nine children get flung over 5,000 light years away. Now they must make their way back -- alone.

Masaomi Andō (White Album 2, School-Live!, Scum's Wish) directed the anime at Lerche. Norimitsu Kaihō (School-Live!, Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation, Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka) was in charge of the series' scripts. Keiko Kurosawa (Re:␣Hamatora, Scum's Wish, Asobi Asobase) designed the characters and served as the main chief animation director. Masaru Yokoyama (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin) and Nobuaki Nobusawa (Steins;Gate 0, Dagashi Kashi) composed the music. nonoc performed the anime's opening theme song "star*frost," while Riko Azuna performed the ending song "Glow at the Velocity of Light."

Shinohara (Sket Dance) launched the manga in May 2016 on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ app. The manga ended in December 2017, and Shueisha published five compiled book volumes for the manga. Viz Media began publishing the chapters online for free in August 2016, and published the fifth and final volume in print in December 2018.

The television anime of Yasutaka Tsutsui's bestselling detective novel Fugō Keiji (Wealthy Detective) premiered in Japan in April 9. Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited's Ani-One YouTube channel streamed the anime under the title The Millionaire Detective Balance: UNLIMITED in India on July 16 as it re-premiered in Japan.

Millionaire detective Daisuke Kambe and his ornery partner solve crimes by unconventional means after Kato joins a new problematic police unit.

Tomohiko Ito (Sword Art Online franchise, ERASED, Silver Spoon, Occult Academy, Hello World) directed the anime at CloverWorks. Team B.U.L is credited with drafting the story, and Taku Kishimoto (ERASED, 2019's Fruits Basket, Haikyu!!) supervised and wrote the series scripts. Keigo Sasaki (ERASED, The Seven Deadly Sins) designed the characters, and Yūgo Kanno (Psycho-Pass, Ajin, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) composed the music. The technology and science website Gizmodo Japan is credited with "gadget coordination" for ensuring that gadgets are realistically portrayed in the anime.

The television anime adaptation of Boichi and Riichirou Inagaki's Dr. Stone manga premiered in Japan in July 2019.

Awakened into a world where humanity has been petrified, scientific genius Senku and his brawny friend Taiju use their skills to rebuild civilization.

Shinya Iino (storyboards, episode director on Hanebad!, Revue Starlight, Made in Abyss) directed the anime at TMS Entertainment. Yuichiro Kido (episode scripts for Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, After the Rain, 91 Days) was in charge of series composition and wrote the scripts. Yuko Iwasa (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Yowamushi Pedal) designed the characters. Tatsuya Kato (WorldEnd, Revue Starlight), Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Children of the Whales, Anima Yell!), and Yuki Kanesaka (Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond insert songs) composed the music.

The anime was confirmed for a second season on December 13. The second season is titled Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, and it will premiere in January 2021.
