Violet Evergarden, Planetes and Complete Clannad Blu-rays Released Monday

Also collected sixth season of Dragon Ball Z and standard Blu-ray of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz

Anime Limited will will release a Collectors Edition of the Kyoto Animation TV series Violet Evergarden. The set will contain the 13 TV episodes; the OVA episode; the extended version of the final TV episode; and the four films compiled from the TV series. (These should not be confused with the two sequel films.) The set will also include a 156-page softback artbook, replica stamps and five art cards.

Kyoto Animation's television anime of author Kana Akatsuki and illustrator Akiko Takase's Violet Evergarden novels premiered on television in Japan and on Netflix in some territories in January 2018. The anime launched on Netflix in the United States in April 2018.

Netflix described the story:

The war is over, and Violet Evergarden needs a job. Scarred and emotionless, she takes a job as a letter writer to understand herself and her past.

Anime Limited will also release a Collectors Blu-ray of the 2003 Sunrise series Planetes, including an 84-page booklet. The series is set in the year 2075, mankind has reached a point where journeying between Earth, the moon and the space stations is part of daily life. However, the progression of technology in space has also resulted in the problem of the space debris, which can cause excessive and even catastrophic damage to spacecrafts and equipment. The series tells the story of Technora's Debris Collecting section, its EVA worker, Hachirota "Hachimaki" Hoshino, and the newcomer to the group, Ai Tanabe.

On Monday April 26, Manga Entertainment will release a Blu-ray including both Clannad and Clannad After Story. It will include six art cards and a 40-page art book. Manga describes the story:

"Sometimes all it takes to change your life forever is a chance encounter. Since the death of his mother, Tomoya has distanced himself from his abusive father and seems on a path of self-destruction. Nagisa's poor health has left her a year behind in school, but she longs to restart the now disbanded Drama Club. In an impulsive moment, Tomoya agrees to help her and they soon find themselves joined by others in desperate need of support and emotional healing."

Manga Entertainment will release a Collectors Blu-ray edition of Dragon Ball Z Season 6.

Anime Limited will also release a standard Blu-ray edition of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, including both the OVA and film versions and the four Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Operation Meteor OAVs.
