Tickets for free IMAX screening will become available at 5 p.m. today, followed by screenings at other U.K venues on Wednesday May 26.

Funimation has announced that there will be a free IMAX screening of Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train on the evening of Monday May 24.

The screening will be at 5.30 p.m. for a 6p.m. start, ending at approximately 8 p.m. It will be an IMAX screening at a venue in central London - the exact address will be given on the tickets. The tickets will be first-come, first-served and limited to one per person, and they will become available at this link at 5p.m. today, Wednesday May 19.

The event will take place in accordance with government guidelines and follow strict safety rules. Face coverings and social distancing will be mandatory.

There will be more screenings of the film in UK cinemas on Wednsday May 26, and "soon" in Ireland. It will be shown both subtitled and dubbed in select cinemas, including IMAX cinemas. There are screening details and tickets links at the film's website.

Funimation describes the story:

"Set after the events of the television anime series, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train has Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke embark on a new mission. Together with one of the most powerful swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, they investigate the mysterious disappearance of over 40 people aboard the Mugen Train."

The film is the blockbusting cinema sequel to the Demon Hunter anime series, and is the highest-earning anime film in Japan ever. It ranked #1 in Japan for 12 consecutive weekends at the box office, in terms of number of tickets sold. As of December 27, it had sold over 24 million tickets to earn about US$314 million. The film has surpassed Hayao Miyazaki's 2002 Spirited Away, its last rival for all-time highest earnings in Japanese box office history. In Japan, it began holding immersive MX4D and 4DX screenings on December 26.

The main staff members of the previous television anime returned for the sequel film. Toho and Aniplex are handling the film's distribution in Japan. Funimation and Aniplex of America will screen the film in cinemas in North America in early 2021.
